Greenwood comes alive each summer for the Stars & Stripes Festival, one of the Delta's most anticipated traditions. Set along the Yazoo River between Greenwood's two downtown bridges, this high-energy celebration brings together live music, local flavor, and a vibrant waterfront atmosphere that draws visitors from across the region.
The festival opens at 6:00 p.m., with live entertainment beginning at 6:30. The evening features a patriotic veterans tribute, including a flag-folding ceremony, the national anthem, and a Legionnaires' color guard. As dusk settles in, the beloved boat parade glides across the Yazoo River, with vessels decorated in red, white, and blue. The night builds to a spectacular fireworks show launched from Veterans Bridge, lighting up the sky and reflecting across the water.
