Clarksdale's 24th annual Juke Joint Festival is half blues festival, half small-town fair, and all about the Delta. With over 100 blues performances across a dozen day stages and 20-plus night venues, this is the event that has been featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, The Economist, The Guardian, 60 Minutes, and PBS NewsHour.
Beyond the music, you'll find real-deal juke joints, arts and crafts, music workshops, children's events, Southern food, panel discussions, and the famously quirky racing pigs and monkeys riding dogs. Attendees come from all 50 U.S. states, a majority of Mississippi counties, and some two-dozen countries.
Schedule Highlights:
Thursday (April 15): FREE JJF Kickoff with awards and live blues performances on the Red Panther Brewing Co. Street Stage (5–8 PM).
Friday (April 16): FREE daytime blues events, culminating with a special FREE 5–8 PM show on the Red Panther Stage.
Saturday (April 17): Main festival day with 100+ blues acts, vendors, food, and family activities.
Sunday (April 18): FREE mini blues fest featuring Rev Peyton, Big A, and more.
